Achoo

Don't you just hate it when you're eating breakfast and you get some chicken food up your nose

and then you sneeze in a really undignified way with your tongue hanging out and everything

and your friends just keep porking out like nothing even happened?

I hate that.

Aww! Geshundheit.

Hey, Meg: have your poor chickies been debeaked? I have two Isa Brown chickens too; they're my favorites, as they're the friendliest things!

They have had their beaks cut. We got them when they were a little older--12 weeks, maybe?--and the chicken place had already given them the chop.

We actually had new chicken-parent paranoia that they wouldn't be able to pick up bugs and stuff. It's not something we'd do to any future chickens, but the ladies do okay. Even though they look weird.

Oh, I totally hate that, too! (LOL - how funny!) But on the plus side, all is quickly forgotten if the friends don't notice. Except, of course, when there's somebody lurking around photographing the whole humiliation...

Katie, I will assume that you meant to leave that comment on the post with the photo of Kelly and I.

Farmgirl_DK, the chickens must think I'm the paparazzi or something. Unfortunately for them, they do enough ridiculous things that the chronicle of their humiliations is fairly large. At least they have no self-awareness.
