In Every Home

I have a little exercise for you all to try out. I want you to go into your refrigerator, grab a bottle of beer (or soda), and search your entire kitchen for a piece of furniture or cabinet hardware with which you can open the bottle. There is one in every home and a majority of the time it's in the kitchen.

We lucked out with the cap catching drawer. In the last place I lived, the opener was a hinge on the refrigerator and the handle on the screen door. I don't believe this knowledge will reduce our carbon emissions, nor is it a measurable forward step towards self sustainability; but I can guarantee that you will gain a few cool points with at least a handful of your friends. Cheers.

Ok, at first I thought you found that on YouTube but then I was COMPLETELY impressed that that was a) you guys, b) opening 2 beers no less, c) in the oh-so-impressive way that you did, and d) lucked out with the cap drawer.

If you have a popcorn ceiling, beer caps make a beautiful alternative, and you can take them out when you move. (The things you learn in college)...

A+!

Ah, bet the furniture maker didn't realize they were including this hidden design feature! Damn, I want one of those! Clever.

Drink a cold one for me. Cheers!

Brought back some memories... I had an old farm truck, 62' ford the "brown turd", that had a wonderful bottle opener in the seat belt. What a great old truck that ugly ol' thing was.

Ha, ha, ha!! You guys are fun. I want to come to a party at your house - I know I'd just learn so many new things. :-)
That is a very impressive collection you've got going in that drawer. You know, you could make a really cool necklace out of those...

Katie,
As a former bartender, I've learned some rather inventive ways to open a beer bottle. Thanks for the kick-ass grade.

Sean,
Maybe Meg and I can draw up some rough blueprints and post them so everyone can enjoy it's hysterical practicality.

Woody,
I think I know exactly what you're talking about. The clips on those old trucks were real wide and you could use them like a regular key chain opener. However, I wouldn't expect an auto maker to advertise this little feature.

Danni,
A necklace made out of bottle caps sounds painful. But I trust you that it works. If we figure out how to do it, we would make a fortune with the number of caps we've collected.
Anytime you're on the east coast, stop on by. We'll have a cold one waiting for ya.

Hallie,
Oh we know you. It's good to hear from you and many thanks for the compliment.

Flea,
It's very sweet indeed.
