Buckets of Rain

Unlike everyone else East of the Rockies, the month of June brought us shit for rain. If it weren't for our rain harvester (which is running low) we would have lost a lot of our younger transplants. Thankfully the past couple of days has brought some spits in fits and took some of the stress off of things for at least another day or two.

Hooray, you got rain too!! We got our first measurable rain a couple days ago---first since April 26th.

the rain sounds good to us in the california desert----115 and it's taking its toll on the plants and vegetables.

I've been running low on water too, I even ran out last week. Thank god it's been raining a bit the last few days, with more forecast later this week. I've been trying to get some seeds to germinate, and it's been a challenge.

Today was out first day without rain in two+ weeks. I'm getting a little sick of the stuff- though the garden sure loves it. Of course, ask me again in late August, after we haven't had a single spit of the stuff in 6 weeks...

And West of the Rockies, too.

We got about 15 minutes of hard rain today, after threatening skies every afternoon for over a week.
I'm glad that you're at least getting a few 'spits' to dampen things enough that they don't parch to death.

Hey all,
Thanks for the comments. The rain has been really coming down these past couple of days. The harvester is filling up nicely and we figure that one or two more days of rain should have us good to go for the rest of the season. It's nice not having to stress about water.
