Wanna see something gross?

We've gotten some pretty freaky eggs in the past, but this is one of the most memorable for sure.

I believe this atrocity was made by Peggy-O. It seems to be a tiny, miniature egg attached to a regular sized egg by a squishy little ... umbilical cord? Horrific.

Thanks to this, eggs are out for breakfast. I read something somewhere about wrinkled eggs happening because of a calcium deficiency.

OMG!

(I found your blog through Google Reader blog search)

That came inside an eggshell?

I am learning about chick development in biology right now, but that is gross, yet strangely awesome

Okay... you have GOT TO get that thing to your local farm extension office. I've been around chickens most of my life and never found anything like that it a nest. Gross indeed!

Hilarious.

Of course nothing beats reaching into a nesting box in the dark and GRABBING something like that...

Eeewwww, yucko! We've had some soft eggs, but nothing like this one. I'm with Bobbi on this! (Or perhaps it's an alien. Maybe you should box it up and ship it to Roswell just in case!)

Yup, way grosser than the shell-less eggs we occasionally get.

ewwww..... that's so gross looking!! I never really stopped to consider that eggs don't come out as expected sometimes... was it in a shell, or was it just like that straight from the chicken?
