Not bad, eh?

We (prematurely) yanked this from the onion patch tonight. All of the onions look promising and we were pretty curious as to what was going on under the dirt and grass mulch, so we picked a big-looking one for dinner. This guy was about 2.5 inches in diameter, and delicious.

Congratulations! I haven't mastered growing onions yet. Mine always rot in the ground.

When can I pull up my garlic? I cut off the scapes last week but how do I know when the garlic is 'done'.

Looks good, I didn't get my onions in. I don't know if I have time or not. Actually when I went out at the start of the year we had a few growing from last year. Maybe I'll stick them in and we can munch next year.

One of the hardest rules to abide by in the garden seems to be, "Be patient and no peeking'! haha

That onion looks tasty!
