A Beat Down

The rains from all the hurricanes and tropical storms have been sweeping through these past few days. We certainly have needed the water. Meg and I were afraid that we were going to have a dry brown Fall this year. We usually try to hit the Appalachians for a solid day hike to see the leaves and migrating birds. So it was good to see the rain, but the garden has a few beds of small greens that are begging for a break.

Awww, the lil greens look so sad!! We've got sunny weather in the 80's currently, but it's just a matter of time before the Fall-then-Winter-then-Spring rains hit. lol

Here too. I was so sick of watering, so now I'm just ecstatic, but that's enough for a few days. If only I could figure out how to get it to rain in the greenhouse...

We're only getting a few showers but there's rain all around us.

I'm still watering in Kentucky. We just entered our 6th week of drought!
